Selecting a Source
Content Sources
Section titled “Content Sources”After loading your character, the Drop Finder shows available content sources as clickable cards. Select one source per run.
Season 1 Raids
Section titled “Season 1 Raids”Simulates all items from the current raid tier. You can select:
- All Season 1 Raids — items from every raid instance combined
- Individual raids — focus on a specific instance (e.g., March on Quel’Danas, The Dreamrift, The Voidspire)
After selecting a raid source, you’ll choose a raid difficulty which determines item levels.
Mythic+ Dungeons
Section titled “Mythic+ Dungeons”Simulates items from Mythic+ dungeons. You can select:
- All Dungeons — items from every dungeon in the current rotation
- Individual dungeon — focus on a specific dungeon
After selecting, you’ll choose a keystone level which determines item levels.
World Bosses
Section titled “World Bosses”Simulates items from current-season world bosses. World bosses drop at a fixed item level — no difficulty selection needed. This is the simplest source with the smallest loot pool.
Other Sources
Section titled “Other Sources”| Source | Description |

How Sources Work
Section titled “How Sources Work”When you select a source, the app:
- Looks up all items that drop from that source
- Filters to items usable by your class, spec, and armor type
- Applies the selected difficulty to determine item levels
- Shows the filtered item list for review before running
Items are automatically filtered — you’ll only see gear your character can actually equip. Cloth wearers won’t see plate items, tanks won’t see DPS-only trinkets, etc.
